TRAC offers a variety of aquatic activities at all of our facilities ranging from aquaerobics to group and personal swimming lessons. Most of these activities are held in the indoor heated pools with additional lessons in the outdoor pool during summer months. The body shaping benefits of workouts in the water are the result of combining calorie burn and muscle recruitment. Because water is nearly 800 times denser than air, each kick, push, and pull is like a mini resistance workout for your entire body - especially your core, hips, arms, shoulders and gluteal region. So even after youv'e showered and dried off after your water work out you have ignited your metabolism to continue burning calories. Water basically neutralises gravity so you become virtually weightless when immersed to perform your exercise without the risk of injury.

It is recommeneded that you seek the advice of a health professional before commencing an exercise program.
